dual bootup

I went half way through installing windows XP, before i realized...hey I don't want this. But now evertime I turn on my computer it tries to dual boot to either windows 2000, or the XP installation, how do I get rid of that dual boot option? Please I can't even make the 2000 the default option.

If you can boot to either OS, you should be able to set it to default to 2000. It's been a while since I used 2000, so I don't remember exactly what you need to do, but XP has an option on where to set the default OS and boot.ini and how much time you have to choose an OS. If you boot to 2000, you should be able to set it to default to that OS. Unless you tried to install XP over top of 2000 instead of a separate partition...in which case you're fux0red.
