Dual Booting

Alrite. I installed ubuntu on my xp machine today, but when i go to select which os to boot into, i cant get into Windows NTFS. Anyone have any ideas to why this is?

I believe you have to install linux 1st then windows, unless there's been changes, I stopped messing with Linux when programs I need stopped working under linux.

It's OK to install Linux first.

Been too long since I've used Linux on a hd install, that I can't remember the details, but when I had that problem once, there was a single file in Linux that I had to edit to fix the problem.

I hope someone can give you more details.
