Dual-booting with Steam

Anyone with a dual-boot (XP32/XP64) system playing Steam apps (HL2 etc.) fine?
Once Steam is installed and all apps are configured on the first OS, what needs to be done on the second OS - re-installation of Steam using the installer? Or should I just try running the steam .exe? Obviously, the idea here is to maintain the original Steam folder tree on my XP32 drive, so I don't have to mirror that 5GB folder on my XP64 drive...

Just try running the exe. Put in your username/password again, and you should be all set.

I just have single boot, but I reformatted my OS drive, and when I got my OS back on, I just ran the steam.exe and all my stuff was still there.
