I've had windows 10 installed for a few years on my main hard drive. I had a spare 128GB ssd that I loaded W11 onto last night (I unplugged the W10 hd first).

I'd like to tinker around with 11 for a few weeks and decide if I want to make the jump. In the mean time, is there an easy way to have a "dual boot" option of some sort?

I know I can unplug one of the drives and plug in the other, go into bios make that drive boot first and boot into that OS. But can I leave both connected and do the same or maybe even have some prompt that I can choose?

I need to find a spare sata power cable first but I wanted to ask before I experiment.
thank you

Thanks Furious. I think I've already screwed up.
As I said, I had already installed 11 on another drive. So, I found my spare power cable and hooked both up at the same time thinking I could go into BIOS and switch between them. Nope.

SO, i unhooked the W11 drive and tired to boot up as normal. Window would not load. I tried numerous things and now finally, I am into safe mode. I'm backing up stuff now. Just was hoping to get back to my old normal Windows 10 install.

I think it messed up the MBR but honestly I am not certain nor am I certain how to get back to normal.

The kinda good thing is I ordered a m.2 drive yesterday so that should be here soon and I was planning to reinstall windows anyway. I just have some things like windows shares, etc. I want to get back into first if possible.
