I currently have a Toshiba Laptop with NT 4 Workstation as the main OS. I need to install NT 4 Server along with Win98, thus I need to delete NT 4 workstation. The laptop has Toshiba tools pre-installed. These tools monitor battery comsumption for the laptop and other features typically found with a laptop.
Here's my plan....
Using GDISK to wipe out the NT 4 partition, and reformat using FAT16. I will first install Win98, then NT 4 Server on a separate partition, i.e C:, D:.
Here's my dillema...
If I install the new operating systems on this laptop how will I be able to get laptop battery monitoring tools back? The operating system is going to assume this is a Desktop PC, not a notebook. What should I do? I'm using a regular version of NT4 Server and Win98SE - not a custom notebook version. (I don't have that one)
If you have any comments/tips, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
