He didn't say what hardware he was using, that's why no Apple OS was listed.

Yup, you can dual boot OSX and Windows (XP at least) on a Mac, but not on a PC.

hehhehehe. WROOOOONG

You CAN ACTUALLY dual boot windows XP and Mac OSX.

However you will need an x86 version of OSX. I do it all the time. People are very satisfied with OSX and Windows on a same machine.

You could use DOS ...

Besides, why do you want to dual boot when you have no idea what OS's you want to use ?

Why would he use DOS?

I think that our friend here has mixed the definitions. I think that he has no IDEA what a dual boot is. Maybe he meant Dual Core or anything alse which is dual.....

Give us some more info friend....

That makes an awful lot more sense. Good guess at what he means, I think.

OP: Tell us more, what is it exactly you want to know and what do you understand about it already?

I don't think he's talking about "dual core"...

He's got a grasp on the fact there are different OS, he just has no idea what to run or why run it.
The exotic term "Dual Boot" has him mesmerized. He should forget about "Dual Boot" and just enjoy "Das Boot"

No, not "WROOOOONG." It is illegal to run OSX on anything other than an something built by Apple.

So while you may be able to run OSX on something other than an Apple product, it is really in bad taste to recommend it.

But why?

There IS a x86 version of the OSX. It can be found for retail ( i just saw it in Apple Store in Prague). I can't remember the price but o don't think it's illegal....

But i would really want to hear a fact why it is not legal. Can you post one here?
