Dual booting 98se and XP.

Hi all. 🙂 Ok here's my problem. I have a 30gig HD and it's partitioned, 5gig for Win98se and 25gig for files and programs n'such. I also have a 3.2gig HD that I just installed XP pro. I would like to dual boot these two OS's, but when it boots only Xp boots. I don't seem to get an option to choose. I heard that Xp has a boot loader in it. Is this true? If so, how can I use it? I was thinking of using System Commander or Boot Magic as the boot manager. Would that be better to use than Xp's? If so where would I install it? I mean on what drive? The 30gig is my slave right now and the 3.2gig is the master. Should I leave them this way or reverse it? I read the info at the top of the page on Dual Booting, but it didn't really help me. Anyway if someone has some answers for me that would be great. 🙂🙂🙂

I think you should put the 30 gig as master and make another partition for XP.
I'm not sure there is any way to boot from slave drive except using a boot software, but by default the system looks at the drive on the master.
Doesn't the 30 gig is faster than 3.2 gig?
If it is, you might use the drive for data backup. 3gig sounds so small.🙂

I had two win 98se on each drive and can't boot from slave drive.

Yo! I just wanted to try out XP and see how it was. I like it!! 🙂🙂 I have installed Bootmagic 7 and have followed the config. instuctions. When I reboot I get the Bootmagic screen, it asks what I want to do 98se or XP, I choose XP and then it just hangs there. The HD doesn't spin up at all. Can I boot from the slave? Help! 🙂
