Dual Boot

i have a comp that i want to turn into a dual boot win98/linux
how do i go about this,

im not sure i am kind of new,
just but doesnt linux take over when you install it? doesnt it go right over windows

Im not exactly sure what you are trying to ask, but as you could see in the documentation you read that LILO (LInux LOader) lets you select which operating system you want to boot into.
