Dual Boot XP/Linux (2 hd's)

what is the best way to go about dual botting a machine with 2hd's, which i want each to be dedicated to an os with xp and linux?

XP, then Linux.

You can connect both drives and leave them enabled in BIOS. There is no need to alternately disable one of the drives whenever you to boot into the other OS.

if you have the opportunity to add a partition to the WinXP drive, make one for the Linux /boot volume, say 50MB or so. Then put all of your other Linux partitions on the second drive.
