I have a pc with dual boot XP Home and Vista Ultimate. I installed XP on one drive, hooked up the other drive and installed Vista and it works fine.
My question is that if I want to remove the XP drive either because I want it in another pc or if it ever fails on me.
I tried it today and it gives me an invalid boot disk error, even when I set the Vista drive as the first boot drive. Is there a way to make it bootable or do I need to do a reformat?

Also, say I want to install the XP drive in another pc with Vista already on it. Will this be a problem, or will XP use it's boot loader and have it perform similarly to the other computer?
