Dual boot XP 32 and XP64

I am running Win XP 32 and want to install Win XP 64 in dual boot mode.-
I have two Sata Hdds, the first with 2 partitions, and the second with only 1 partition.- I think I have the chance to install Win XP 64 either in the second logical partition of the first disk, or in the unique partition of the second disk.- If so, which option is better, and which are the steps ?.-
I want to have the option of selecting the OS each time I boot, so should I have to use some dual boot manager ?.-

Thanks

Thanks, very usefull link.-
It has clarified me the subject, but I have still a doubt:
I have Win XP 32 installed in C in my first disk, who also has a partition D.-
My second disk is E, and I intend to make a second partition in it named F; can I install Win XP 64 in this F partition ?.-
Thanks again

easy answer yes

complicated answer. yes you can dual boot on any drive / prirmary partitions. it will auto create the boot menu on the appropriate drive.

Personally the way I dual boot is i have one os on one drive and use my boot selection on my motherboard to select the drive i want to boot from. cleaner incase i have to wipe an os and dont have to worry about any boot menu

I installed Win XP 64 in a new partition named F at my disk No 1, and all went OK, but after the install, the Win XP 64 disk letter had changed from F to E, which is not dramatic, but annoying because it alters the order of my disks.-
I saw it at first when the CD installer gave me the option to select the partition in which Windows should install, and the letters didnt match.-
I tried to change the letter via the disk manager but it prevented the operation because it is a bootable partition.-
Is there a way to prevent that problem before the installation ?
Thanks
