Dual boot with 98 and NT?

I make two partitions on my drive the first, is 2 gigs and the second the rest. I load Windows 98 into the C drive Windows folder then I boot with NT 4.0 CD and it gets ready to install and says it cannot detect my HD. Yes, my partition is a FAT16.
Any help would be great.

Thanks Kevin

you have to make a special windows nt partition, i dont know the correct name but i think it is NTS2 or Something, someone feel free to correct me

The partition you are refering to is known as NTFS but it can also be a FAT32 or FAT partition also.

NT will not work on a Fat 32 Partition, only Win 2k will. It either has to be FAT or NTFS. That out of the way, is the Hard Drive IDE or SCSI? If it's IDE I see no reason why NT will not find it. If it's SCSI you have to load a SCSI driver for your SCSI Card during the beginning of setup or NT will not find your drives.

Hope this helps. Tell us more about your system. Is your system a new one with a Onboard UDMA66 controler like a Promise or CMD that are on the ASUS CUBX and MSI BX Master? If so same thing, you need to load the driver during the first part of the install. There will be a prompt to hold F6 down I believe to load a driver for your card.
