Hello,
I need to set up a friends puter for a dual boot winME and Win2000. I will be using partition magic. He has a 20 gig drive and a 60 gig drive. We want to split the 20 gig drive into two 10 gig partitions, one for ME and one for 2000, and have it so both OS's can access the 60 drive. The 60 gig drive is for his media (mp3's, video, etc.).
I guess the first step is to install one of the os's, probably 2000. I think I should do everything with Fat32, so that WinME and 2000 have the same file system. I guess once I install 2000 and partition magic, I just partition out 10 gigs for ME, restart, and install ME. But what do I do from there? We won't be installing the 60 drive until both OS's are installed.
I know that the 60 gig drive has to be on Fat32, but will it be recognized by both os's automatically once I install it?
Thanks,
jason
