it is.but duno why.mine use to get messed up with the boot.It sounds easier to put Windows 8 on a Windows 7 computer than the opposite though.

Is this what you are using?I use discreet OS drives via EZ-Swap rack fot Win 7 and 8.1 rather than dual boot. Things are neater and cleaner that way.
If all I had to do was my own stuff, I would just stick with 7. However, I have a side consulting business and I am getting Win8 questions.
Ah, in that case, install 7 first. If you think you might drop one OS in the future, put them on separate drives. If you already have 7 installed, and going with the same drive no worries.
