i was reading that you simply boot to knoppix on cd, then to kp2hdd or some command like that, and it will copy.. now.. will that wipe all partitions or can i resize my ntfs partition smaller and give room for knoppix.. (4-5gb)..

any suggestions is appreciated.

isnt the point of knoppix to run it off a cd?
if you wanted to install linux on a computer, why not install fedora or something

because i like the fact that knoppix is built off debian ... and it has all the tools that i want already in it. plus fedora is a huge memory hog - not even the server edition, just workstation. i like knoppix, and im comfortable in knoppix from work since thats what we use there.

so any ideas are appreciated.

thanks

EDIT: the cd thing is great but on a laptop that isnt centrino spinning up an OS isnt the best on battery life.plus id like to be able to use my cdrom while in knoppix..lol
