Dual boot vista/xp

Heres my code
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptOut /USENEWLOADER
multi(0)disk(2)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Vista" /NOEXECUTE=ALWAYSOFF /FASTDETECT /USENEWLOADER

I have xp installed on a raid with 2 drives and vista installed on a 3rd ide drive. I copied winloader.exe to the xp windows/system32 folder. I've tried using disk(3) and disk(4) . All that happens is my comp restarts when I select vista with the loader. But if I boot of the vista drive via setting it higher in boot proity in bios it works fine. Also the vista drive has a single partion. Thanks for help

You can try this:
put in an xp cd boot into recovery console
login as administrator
put in "bootcfg /rebuild" see if that helps your situation any that fixed someones computer once although I wasn't dealing with a dual boot.

I pulled off how to do that from the following link, you may want to read it before proceding.

If you're using the first release of 3508, you won't get it to work. There is now a second release of 3508 and the added features work that didn't in the first release and dual boot now works again. 5308 in it's first iteration also took forever to install, the "updated" 3508 took 26 minutes from boot to CD to inside Vista........

How can I tell witch one I have? They all just say vista build 3508 they dont have anything after that. Thanks
