Hi!

I just installed windows 7 on a separate HD and my mistake, left my Vista HD unplugged.

Now I don't have an option for choosing OS's @ boot. PC will boot whichever HD is set to boot first.

I have tried adding a line for Windows 7 using EasyBCD but I cannot get it to work.

Can someone help me here?

Thanks!

Plug both drives in, set the one you want to be your real boot drive. Then fire up the W7 installer disc and do a startup recovery. It should sort things out.

Thanks guys!

Works now..

However, I just plugged another HD which has a very old installation of XP (it works fine on its own), and it is now XP that won't work when added to the boot menu.

I used easyBCD and added an entry for Windows XP and copied the XP boot files to the Windows 7 partition.

When given the option to boot XP, I press enter and I get an error about hal.dll missing or corrupted. Played around with it for a while and got rid of that message, however, it now gives me a "bried" error with the Boot.ini file and it restarts right way!

Thanks again!
