Hi,
Will there be any problem if I hv dual boot system of Win XP 32 bit and Win 7 64 bit.
And do 32 bit applications run smoothly on 64 bit system.
Thanks in advance.

Regds.........

Should be no problem running them.

And yes, most 32 bit xp programs run just fine in 64 bit 7 (my current OS).

I like to dual boot. Helps many times in troubleshooting issues. Even using one OS, or especially, for troubleshooting problems. Haven't done it with a laptop yet, maybe should, although with a laptop there's more of an issue with HD space than a desktop, obviously.

I agree with installing the dual-boot if only for troubleshooting

Note: when I loaded Ubuntu on my Vista laptop for dual-boot
it also found the 10G Acer Recovery Partition and added it to the boot menu
so it actually became Triple Boot

If the recovery partition is selected on boot it goes right into starting the recovery
and appears just one more button press from wiping disk

(I haven't tried this yet - so not sure if it will actually work and wipe the disk)
