Dual-Boot question

I just got my laptop a while ago and I am settled down with it. BUT! I have some progams i need but only works for XP.

My laptop came vista installed and I want to dual-boot. What is the EASIEST way for me to set up dual-boot without having to re-setup all my things on my vista?

Maybe you can look into shrinking the partition, and installing XP on the smaller one. I don't know though, I have never tried it.
Though I have been looking into doing a dual boot with Linux.

no, google for it, ther eare instructions out there that have you download a CD with the right tool to take care of it (linux based 🙂 ), it's pretty simple.
The other things the isntructions do is show you how to make XP no screw up the vista MBR. vista is smart enough to recognize XP, but not the other way around.

Look into the virtual machine option.
There are some guys here who are quite experienced with it.
If it works, you will not need another partition.
