When setting up a W98/W2K dual boot, if I have, say, a printer which offers different drivers for both OS's, is it necessary to install both drivers, or just the one for the OS that I plan to use for that particular application? Does the same go for all other programs and devices, also?

Install the drivers for each OS respectively, once your printer is shown as working properly in the device managaer for each OS you're golden.
