Alright....so after many years of avoidance, I finally installed linux. it took forever because basically, GRUB hates my system. First it screwed up and was trying to load linux from a non-existant partition. I got that running(posting from unix now). Now for the new problems.

A) The boot loader won't load windows. I get Error Code 13. I don't know what that means.
B) I can't access any files on the Windows HD. I believe Linux only had experimental support for writing to NTFS...but can't I make it read it? Its not even showing up anywhere I can find.

Any help?

What distro are you running?

I don't know about wma support, but I use xmms to play my mp3's. It will vary depending on what distro you are using in order to get mp3 playback.

In debian it's as simple as
apt-get install xmms

xmms will play wma files, and wmv files. If you are on a redhat distro, they gimp xmms so it doesn't play MP3's (or wma's iirc).

in gentoo, it's as simple as emerge xmms :p. Apt-get/emerge are so much nicer then hunting down dependant RPM's in redhat (imho)

It doesn't include a plugin for wma. Any clues where I can get one?
