Dual boot Nt Server 4 and Win98

Is this possible?

If it is how do I do it, what order must I install the OS's and how must I partition the drive?

This is how it would work:

Win98 must be installef first. (say C:\).

Note: Thus *MUST* be a FAT-16 partition - NT4 does NOT recognize FAT-32.

Once you've installed Win98 on C:\ you go on to install NT4 on D:\ - can't remember if you have to confirm an option to dual-boot ... think it does it by default. Has been a while since I had to build a system like that.

Anyway - that's all that is to it.

[bImportant things to remember:[/b]
* Win98 first - use FAT-16 partition, NOT Fat-32 (that gives you a max of 2047 MB).
* Then install NT - preferrably on an NTFS partition, as you do *NOT* want Win98 to "see" and thus ruin the NT side of things.

That pretty much it. If you need more help, just ask 🙂

yup...shathal nailed it. the only other thing I would mention is that you can change your startup options through NT. If you want 98 as you defaut you go to system appplet and make changes in startup settings.
