Dual Boot mistake-how do I fix?

I built a new rig and somehow installed XP twice so on boot I have to make a choice of versions. How do I get rid of one??

Right-click on My Computer and go to properties, then go to Advanced, Startup and Recovery Settings, and then click on the Edit. Just remove the entry. You can delete the other partition too, just boot the windows cd before the computer starts and then go from there (can't remember exactly how to get there, but it shouldn't be too hard to find, just delete the partition you don't want).

Not sure if tjis is ur case, but I did that once and instead, when I tried to reinstall Windows, it installed to the existing Windows folder so I had like C:\WINDOWS and C:\WINDOWS(2), \sYSTEM32 AND \sYSTEM32(2)......😵......rofl.....WIERD, HUH?? i HAD TO GO BACK AND REDO MY RE-INSTALL THAT TIME. lol! Oops, left CAPS on there for a sec. Eh, I dont feel like retyping it. LOL! Just wanted to share! 🙂

It depends on where the installation are.

If they are in different drives it would be very simple. Simply delete all those folders on the 2nd drive and under MSCONFIG modify the boot.ini tab. Click "check all boot paths" and that should get rid of the option you see when you restart.
