Dual Boot Mandrake and 2000pro

It doesn't really matter, however installing 2k pro would be easier, that way you can use a program like partition magic to partition your drive correctly for linux.

It will be one 2 seperate drives, I would assume the mandrake installer can make it's own partitions.

There is an fdisk styled program in Mandrake so dont worry about using that to make partitions. Its easy enough for a monkey to use. Install Windows first, and decide whether you want to use LILO or the Windows boot loader thingy.

Would there be any particular advantage to using one boot loader or the other? If not, I will probably use NTs as I am familiar with it.

None that I can think of. You will still need to use LILO, but NT's could be your main bootloader. I prefer LILO since I am more familiar with it and I know how to edit the configuration file better.

i just did the same thing.. i installed windows first, and then mandrake on a second drive..

i still dont quite understand linux yet though.
