To start off: I am a newbie to linux but i am interested in having it on a new system i am building. so would a dual boot of linux and win2000 professional be good ? is there anyway i can have linux/win2000 pro/and win98se ?

secondary: can anyone tell me how to do this ? i mean it is sort of diffucult for me to comprehend because hardware and all this stuff still confuses me a little but i would like to learn, so thanks.

It is possible, but not easy in that order. Better would be win98/win2k/linux. All the information you need will be on ldp. If you have questions on the docs please ask :)
