dual boot in linux and windows

I had a dual boot system in Read hat linux and windows XP. That used to let me choose the os while booting up. I had to reinstall windows and now it just boots up in XP. The linux option is not there anymore. i know Linux is still there just the master boot record got changed. How can I repair this without reinstalling linux?

boot off of a linux disk and run /sbin/lilo as root.
