Dual Boot DIY Rig: What wireless routers work with both Linux and Windows?

Hello, I am thinking of building a dual boot DIY rig that will run Windows Media Center 2004 or 2005 SP2 Edition (wow that was mouthful). Anyway, I am doing research right now on what parts to get that will work well with both Ubuntu (or Kubuntu since it's the same thing but the only difference being that it uses KDE) Linux. Well to the point: I am looking to see what wireless routers work best for both operating systems (again, I plan to boot between both OS's and don't want my switching around on the computer to affect anyone that happens to be using the internet wirelessly around me in the house). I would gladly appreciate it. If this seems like a newbie question for anyone well I am new to building DIY systems, and Linux to boot. So your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Routers? The router is not inside your PC.

If your question is, what wireless receiver to put into your PC, then you're best advised to check first what Linux you're going to use. The wireless infrastructure in Linux has been undergoing a major change VERY recently.

In older kernels, as in distribution boxes right now, you are well advised to look for a RaLink chip on the card. They have an open-source driver, bit awkward to configure, but very stable and with good performance once working. Stay away from "Linux" solution that just use a Windows driver and the "ndiswrapper" translation layer. Pure evil.

Thanks Peter. The thing is I have no clue what I am doing to be honest. The thing is I heard that you have to pay attention to what hardware to use for Linux in terms of what could work to run linux (sorry I should have said that I was planing to run Kubuntu Linux on it) and that will allow me to go on the internet while on linux (I will just say Kubuntu from now on). But uh...can you elaborate a bit more because I am a complete moron at this. Oh and I have decided to wait for a bit because I have been on the Ubuntu and Kubuntu forums and I see that it's going under major changes (the revamp of the KDE desktop environment and whole, possible, intro to Compiz Fusion). In the mean time, I will just keep reading until I see that things have settled so I can jump into Kubuntu.
