dual boot dilemma

i made the stupid mistake this morning of performing a system recovery from within windows ME to a couple of days ago, being BEFORE i installed windows 2000 under a dual boot. both operating systems are on the same partition.

now when i try and boot, it says that the boot.ini is corrupted and it can't even boot windows 2000. this msg is before i get the option for which OS to boot. any suggestions???

thanks in advance.

Search for Smart Boot Manager. (It is GNU Free Software.) Install Smart Boot Manager in track 0 of hard disk. You can do this from a boot floppy. Smart Boot Manager will let you boot from any partition on any hard disk attached to your system, regardless of whether the partition is marked bootable. It is keen and swell.

Oh, I just saw what you say re: both OS'es being on the same partition. Well, I've never seen anyone try to install multiple OS'es on the same partition except in emulation situations. (VMWare, etc) I think you did something very very dumb. Format hard disk, reinstall Windows.
