Dual AMD XP CPU

I was wondering if the XP CPU works in DUAL configuration, I propably going to use a TYAN Server board?

Are they actually the same as the MP CPUs or just a marketing thing?

True, but I read some boards detect the XP and won't allow it, but other than that they work.

I have XP's on my 2462 and they work fine.

HOWEVER, XP chips that were manufacturered in the past 4-6 weeks have an L5 bridge cut that disables SMP operation unless you reconnect it. I don't know if the 2462 disables SMP operation but the newer MPx chipset boards do.

My XP's are of the older flavor.
