I run Seti and I was wondering if it would be possible to assign one CPU to Seti, than while I play a game use the other CPU. ... or does the OS equally share all threads and applications.. ?

Windows XP Pro is the OS, and I am thinking about buying a Dual setup

In TaskManager right click on the process->Affinity.

But generally it's a better idea to let the OS handle that sort of thing.

You should be able to run Seti on both CPUs, and also play the games! Seti is designed so that it only uses spare CPU cycles that aren't in use by any other program.

If you want to ask anything more about Seti, pop in the Distributed Computing forum and ask there, we're a friendly bunch of people! :)
