I think it could be a pair of those cards, which looks like the normal Dell GTXs.

maybe. It would be crazy cheap if that was the case ($350 for a 7800GTX :Q)

I doubt that it has two 7800s on it, but it does say "Dual 256MB Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX" which sounds alot like two rather than just being capable of two.

I think that this product is a dual 7800. Not to long ago Dell actually came out with the biggest baddest comps you've ever seen. It was running 2 dual 7800 gt cards!!! overclocked out of the box!!! so was the cpu. The graphics for the casing was hand painted by an artist I just cant find the news anymore

don't overlook the fact that it's using a 512 HSF. For a 256 GTX? Maybe there ARE two gpu's hiding under there. Are they both sharing 256? Or do you think it's 256MB's each?

If thats the case, a dual gpu 512 (well, almost), for $700???

Perhaps it's like This

Though, the card pictured looks somewhat similar to this in the Anandtech CES coverage, I know they covered it, but I can't find the article :(

Well the part number for the one you linked is Dell Part #: 320-4570.

When you configure a single 256 GTX in a XPS 600, the part number is:

256MB Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX NV7800 [320-4374]

When you configure a dual 256 GTX system, the part number is:

Dual 256MB Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX with SLI Technology NV7800D [320-4373]

So the part number is definitely different then the ones Dell uses in their XPS 600. And it does look like a beefier card then the normal 256 GTX.

Edit: also found out another number on that card: UNSPSC: 4320140100 if anyone knows what that means...eh nevermind, that's listed under every video card.

Alright, I just confirmed this card with my dell rep. It's the normal 256 GTX, but it is the extended length with the end bracket used to mount in the XPS/9100 cases. So for all intents and purposes, it's an overpriced standard GTX that is Dell backed for Dell systems.

Has no one heard about Quad SLI yet? It was the big to-do at CES, sheesh.

BTW, I saw one of the XPS 600's in person. Everyone on display had its case open and was still pumping huge volumes of hot air out the back. Yay for Intel!! :p
