Dual 6800 Ultra vs single 7800 GTX?

New system, trying to determine cost savings/benefits on this setup. Mainly gaming computer.

6800 Ultra x 2 vs single 7800 GTX

This is for my buddy, he's buying an Alienware setup. The cost difference (they are running a special) is the question. It would be $200 more to have dual 6800 Ultras than a single 7800 GTX.

Thoughts?

I'd go with a single 7800gtx at this point.

By computer only you mean that price doesn't include a $1000 monitor or something?

I have to concede your point as I have fallen victim to this myself. But, if I offered to help someone out and they refused my help, i wouldnt be "stepping and fetching" when the grits hit the pan.
