Very nice indeed. I think I'll stick with my cost effective yet aesthetically grotesque 17" CRT + 15" LCD setup for now though.

I use the 30 and it's ok but I would not want another sitting on the desk.

At 2560x1600, the native resolution is too low. It should be twice that (5120x3200) for finer pixel pitch. The WUXGA 15.1" display on my notebook at 1920x1200 look better. The 23" at the same resolution has the same issue.

The problem isn't with the size, it's the amount of pixels they're putting in there. It's like buying a printer that can print larger pages but at the same DPI. We need more DPI folks! No wonder they have clear type. (crap IMO)

LCD's at 1280x1024 (a poor aspect ratio) of up to 19 inches are available and these look absolutely horrible due to large pixel size. People will quickly blame the technology when it's not the issue at hand. I'm willing to bet a lot of them forget the era of .41 dp CRT monitors (and worse!).

Cheers!

that setup in the first pic for the computer and monitors should run approximately $12-15k

what a freaking waste of money. Nobody needs more than a gig of ram right now unless they are involved in some rediculous workstation crap.........

Any game in the last 6 months will suck RAM up all the way to 1.5 - 2 GB.

Of course, it's a Mac, so that's a moot point.

that's crazy. I don't even know what I'd do with that kind of screen realestate.

It's easy to use once you have it. There are times at work when I wish I had 4 or 5 monitors instead of 2.

Even here at home I keep running out of room on my 2 monitors.
