DTV, and need to transmit a signal to a TV in the garage

How do I go about doing this without wires? We live in a two story house and the way it is designed there is no easy way to run a wire to it from a converter. I would like to do this wirelessly if possible and wanted to know if anyone had any ideas? It can come from any DVR in the house. I guess HDMI would be the preferred way of doing it.
