I've got a Soundblaster live Value with NO digital out.....

When I wanted to use this... I must have a 5.1 Surround sound card... don't I?
 
No, the amplifier has a DD5.1 decoder built in for your AC3 streams and such.

You can use the rear and front analog outs, but you won't be getting the full benefit of the individual channels.
 
So which sound card would you recommend? But actually it's stupid to buy such a surround system just for a computer, isn't it?
