I have an SBLive 5.1 and PowerDVD and can't get anything with any DTS tracks to play on my pc. My dvd player doesn't support DTS either =(

That's odd, I have an Audigy 2 and Media Player Classic decodes it fine for me.

Would it be because my version of PowerDVD or my SB Live doesn't support it?

Probably the SB Live. I'd say get at least an Audigy 2 ZS as soon as you can - they're cheap and *much* better than an SB Live.

This sounds like a missing AC3 codec (which I would have thought would have been in the player - strange.) Try reloading PowerDVD. Also, try AC3Filter at VideoHelp's Tools link. Even 5.1 should play in stereo. Adding ffdshow might give you the DTS codec too.

(Caveat - it has always worked for me, but I also have a lot of codecs preloaded with my video editors)
