Reply to my question, I/O. You can do it!I don't trust marketing shills that sling fabrications of truth and sometimes full on lies to sway public opinion in favor of ... "Snake Oil". That's what it comes down to for me personally.

This game of who to trust can go on ad infinitum, why would/should I trust blurbusters vs AMD? amd has engineers that may have informed huddy's talking points.
http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4849324&postcount=5I've spoken with Richard Huddy many times in the past, and the one thing that stuck -- always contradict and question what this man says.
yea the guy representing a multibillion $ company, with 100s if not 1000s of engineers...yea it is as cut and dry as common sense. brilliant! Why shouldn't you trust PR guy speaking about competitors tech?
Instead of trusting measuring equipment of highly specialized independent website?
How about common sense?

Having to go back as far as
"WHY NOT TRUST PR, INSTEAD OF INDEPENTENT TESTING"
Is it the silly season yet?
that is why I poised these sentiments as a question, because unlike others I try to learn something and make informed opinions. Why not?

Yes, it's fine to ask questions. I think the answer is: Richard Huddy rejoined AMD on June 2nd. The interview was one on June 18th. The guy is located in the UK. I think he wanted to use the interview mainly to promote Mantle and, when asked, threw in some G-SYNC/Freesync stuff about which he wasn't really prepared. So he made stuff up. Dumb.that is why I posed these sentiments as a question, because unlike others I try to learn something and make informed opinions. Why not?
Nvidia Finally Officially Speaks About AMDs
I might go amd next time , so why would anyone lock them selfs in nv feature on $800 monitors [rog]after a $1k+++screwing over ??
Someone looking and listening to somebody they do not like, or opposing someone they do like, is almost certainly bound to think they are smug, arrogant, condescending, full of it. It's natural. I didn't find the Nvidia guys smug at all. I DID see them sort of laughing at some of the Huddy statements. I think they're minds were blown a little because they are sitting there having to defend themselves from a guy who just decided to make stuff up as he goes along. That would piss me off too. I think they handled themselves pretty well and even tried to steer the conversation away from the interviewer's AMD/huddy questions and focus on Nvidia stuff. High road. Respect that at least.
So anyway enough about how smug you think they were. Has NO relevence even if they WERE smug. They're probably allowed to be due to the questions about Huddy's remarks being fired at them.
I might also be naïve but why would huddy bring up such a point without any proof? Is it just a pure fud attack?
Also why should tom receive more trust than huddy when they both have incentive to embellish some of the facts, tom more so being a marketing head and on the defensive.
