So my Canon 40D is almost a year old. I didnt get the BBY warranty but I was thinking I should get some sort of warranty for the body. It gets to be a year old next month. I would like to buy something so if anything goes wrong it can be fixed.

any idea where I can buy a warranty that will continue coverage. The camera has not given any problems but I am just worried if it does i would be SOL if i dont have anything to protect it.

Any help?

Treat it well and there's a 99% chance that nothing will go wrong with it until the shutter goes out around 100k shots. I don't have warranties on any of my gear. However, you should send it to Canon every year or so to have regular service/cleaning.

The minimum cost is $200 I believe. It includes a XXX point inspection and everything.

You can get warranty coverage for used cameras from Mack Warranty.
