Oh man I just had the worst experience. I call up Earthlink and sign up for dsl. They say i qualify and send me my free modem and selfinstallation kit. They say that they will activate the account today in the morning. I try to connect all morning and afternoon and no luck. My account ain't activated. SO i call em up and to my surpise my line does not qualify. It turns out that I am 16,000 feet from my co. Thats 1,000 ft. over the limit. God does that suck or what. Get my hopes up for nothing. Oh well guess all i can do is wait.
 
I feel sorry for you. Some of my friends are also just over the limit and not qualified for DSL... Do you have cable modem as a choice? It should be ok too if it is available.
