DSL woes: Modem resets all the time now, help!

I have had this problem before, but it seems to have come back. Earthlink fixed it before, but now this problem sucks big time! My DSL modem connection resets when we receive or make phone calls. I have tried replacing all the old filters with new ones, and it doesn't help! I have tried switching from cordless phones to corded phones, and it doesn't help! I have power cycled the modem billions of times, and tried every suggestion Earthlink support has told me, and they didn't help! I think my line has gone bad, and somewhere along the way is leaking, causing the DSL modem to lose connection. Even with the new or old filters, I can still hear lots of line noise, and when the DSL modem drops connection, the noise disappears. I requested Earthlink to submit a trouble ticket for my problem. Anyone experience this too? Please help! (PS, sorry about the exclamation marks, I don't mean to offend anyone).

*update*
I am getting confused, what are differences between 1-line and 2-line DSL filters? I have some "2wire" brand filters from CompUSA tha are for 2-line. Is 2-line for homes with 2 different phone numbers? Would the filter matter if it were 1-line or 2-line? I know my bro's room has his own phone/number and the rest of the telephone jacks are the main house number. Someone please explain...

I'm afraid that only earthlink can help you with this one... It doesnt sound like you've got leakage on the line. Ultimately the best thing would be to badger them into getting your ILEC/CLEC (your phone company or competitive carrier i.e. Covad) to roll a truck out to your location and run some line tests at your box outside... Then they can easily determine if the problem exists on the loop itself, or on your inside wiring. You should have bought your DSL through flashcom, because then they would not have gone out of business, and I coulda had that shi+ 100% perfect for you by tomorrow, but you see, its all your fault since you didnt... Oh yeah and line sharing sucks.
