DSL without a phone number?

Some companies (Verizon and Qwest in my area) will offer "dry" DSL, but it costs almost as much as it would cost to get a phone line and DSL from them together. For example, where I live Qwest will either give me just a DSL line (1.5mbps) for $55 per month, or I can get a phone line AND a 1.5 meg DSL line from them for about $60 per month...

I don't want or need a home phone line, so I just stick with my 6 megabit cable line from Comcast for $42 per month. 🙂
