I have a question for the experts out there, here goes.
I recently got DSL service after switching from a sub par Cable connections. On the old Cable Connections, I used a NetGear EN104tp Ethernet Hub to connect all my roomie's PCs together. However, I know NetGear (and LinkSys and more, but I like NetGear so bare with me please ) makes a DSL Router/Switch (Model: RT314) which would do the same thing.

My main question is, Why do I need the DSL Router? My DSL provider allows 3 computers to connect to the net at once (which is what I have) so does that mean I don't need the Router at all? Or would I see a speed increase or better data handling?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to figure out if I need to drop the $150 on the Router or what. Thanks again for any info in advance!
