DSL reboots when I start Half Life?

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 router and a Efficient Networks 5260 DSL modem, and everytime I run Half Life or some other type of game that makes my video card kick in, the modem disconnects from DSL. I also am using a Linksys ethernet card.

It started happening when I installed Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, so I'm not sure what the problem is at all. It doesn't do it when my friend starts playing a game.

Anyone experience this before?

How ironic.. I used to have the exact same problem a while back. I switched network cards and I think it went away..

By the way, I have the *exact* same setup as you, down to the model numbers (though I'm using onboard Realtek 10/100 now).

alright ill go switch out ethernets and try again.

fixed it. The PnP OS in BIOS had to be switched to YES, even when im using Windows 2000.
