Is it possible to have multiple modems connected to the single DSL line and combine the bandwidth ?

Are you trying to share the connection? DSL is capped for speed so trying to use multiple modems shouldn't have any effect on it.

I highly doubt it. DSL works by modulating the signal at a certain range of frequency. I would think placing two modems onto a single line would interfere with one another

No, don't believe so, but you can have more than one modem connected to separate lines and combine them to increase bandwidth. I read it somewhere, forget where now.

Are you asking if you can connect more than one modem to a single phone line? Why would you even want to do that? If you need that much bandwidth (and have that much cash to spare), you should get a T1 or something. To answer your question, no. You can't do it. You would need two phone lines and 2 accounts. As I said, if you have enough money to do that, get a T1.

It would be one line .. but different plugs. i.e I have some kinda box outside where I can put upto 8 lines running into my home.

So if it's 1 dedicated line but split into 8 lines and just using 2-3 dsl modems connected to it.

Would you benefit from the speed increase by 2-3 folds ?
I heard from somewhere that DSL lines can be stacked... i wanna know if it's fact or fiction.

edit. Last time I had DSL they didn't require me to log in or anything I was automatically connected.
