I finally have Dsl available in my area, total package including Isp 26.95 for 12 mo then 39.95 after thats for 896 kbps up and 5 Mbps down. had cable broadband for 8 yrs and I'm not going to miss it! 🙂

I'm paying $29.99 a month for 6Mb down/768k up from Comcast. And I don't have to have a landline phone to get it. 🙂

That'll go up to 59.99 after the initial period though...

The thing I despise about Comcast in my area as opposed to some other parts of the country, is that there is no self install option. You have to pack $100 for some guy to come dick around pluging your modem in and hand you an installation CD, it's a joke. Plus it costs more if you don't subscribe to TV. Plus it is the only real broadband option, no competition, so the price is way too high. 🙁

The term is 12 months. It helps to be a longtime Comcast customer.

Either way, I hope I'm not living in the same place in 12 months. 🙂
