DSL Problems

I have a server running MS Windows XP, and Im using it to share our internet connection in our LAN, I also use it as a network harddrive. The problem is though, that around once a day, I lose my connection to the internet and I have to repair the connection in the "Network connections" tab in the Windows XP Control Panel. It also works by restarting the modem. Does anyone know a way to make it stop, i.e. not making me have to repair the connection once everyday.

This is strange - you say you repair the connection via network connections tab, that would be just limited to your LAN, not the DSL connection itself.
