Just got my earthlink DSL & there's a weird prob...
Downloading stuff is great, no stalls, somewhere around 10x faster than my 56k although I am not sure if that's above/below the norm.
Browsing is a prob - win98se with ms ie 6.something. All goes well and then once in a while (every 5-10 minutes or so) when accessing a new page, the thing hangs. Half the time there's like 30sec to 1 min before "hang" is gone, and the other half, I have to disconnect & reconnect DSL.
Initially thought that maybe my DSL connection was bad. But after trying out Opera, it doesn't have the same problem (just few incompatibility issues with few sites). Then I thought that the delay was connecting to the remote web server because once loading, the pages load fast as they should.
So the question is, anyone else have had this problem with ie?
Or maybe ie isn't the culprit?
