DSL, no file transferring in ICQ

as title, do I have to enable something to make it happen? As for now I can't recieve any file when I use ICQ.. thanks.
 
I'm guessing your running a modernish version of ICQ. I have 2001 so there may be differences.

Go ICQ > Perferences > Connections.

Change to the server tab and tick "Using Firewall" and then if you are using a proxy then tick Using Proxy if not then don't touch that option.

Save the settings, reconnect to the ICQ network and you should be sweet.
