DSL networking-web-browsing problem, any help? Thx.
OK my story is.... i do have a 3 PCs at my home :
1. PC1 is old 166MMX Pentium with Win2000 64ram 2 NIC CARDS 3com - MY 'kind of server' for sharing internet connection, printing and file server.
2. PC2 Pent 3 800 512MG Win200 1nic Netgare card my gaming PC and ....
3. PC3 my wifes Pen2 266 228ram winME 1nic Natgare card
All 3 PC's connected thru Netgare 4 port hub DSL modem connected to NIC2 on my PC1-server.
My problem is ... i just instaled DSL from Earthlink to my PC1-server and ACTIVATED internet sharing on WinPoet DSL dial-up to NIC1(this card used for network connection), all connections are working both PC2 and PC3 are able to browse internetand network shares, BUT some website are not reachable (its like it is not even exists), but the Server PC1 is ok displaying the same websites on the same given time. My friend told me to put DNS server names( in my case i put Earthlink names 207....) under TCP/ip settings for my PC2 and PC3, and i did it but there is no change, some websites (like www.us.buy.com ; https://ecare.attws.com and maybe some more) are not displayable under my PC2 and PC3, but again PC1-server is ok and realy fast on all downloads and uploads. Yes i did ping www.us.buy.com from my PC2 and it is return timed-out 3 times.
I'm out off any ideas , any help ? :Q
