have there been any improvements within the last 4 years?
mine has never had problems, i never get dropped connections, but i have the oppotunity to upgrade (FAR) but don't really want to mess with the rebate.

Only reason to upgrade (IMHO) is if your carrier is now capable of speeds that your original equipment is not (e.g. alot of 6mit dsl connections don't achieve that on some really old modems)
